Welcome to Spira — Mindful Breathing ("Spira", "we", "our", or "us"). Your privacy is fundamental to our mission of helping you find calm, focus, and restorative rest. This Privacy Policy explains how Spira handles your information when you use our iOS mobile application and website.

1. 100% On-Device Data Storage

Spira is designed with a strict local-first privacy architecture. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal identifiers (such as your name, email address, or phone number).

  • Breathing Sessions & Streaks: All completed session records, day streaks, custom rhythm timings, and pre/post-session mood check-ins are stored locally on your device.
  • No Cloud Profiling: We do not transmit, store, or sell your personal wellness data to external servers, data brokers, or advertising networks.

2. Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration

With your explicit permission, Spira can integrate with Apple Health (HealthKit) to save your completed breathing sessions as Mindful Minutes.

  • Spira only accesses or writes HealthKit data after you explicitly enable the Apple Health toggle inside the app and grant permission via iOS.
  • HealthKit information is processed strictly on your device in full compliance with Apple’s HealthKit guidelines.
  • We never use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and we never share HealthKit data with any third parties.

3. Local Notifications & Daily Reminders

If you choose to enable Daily Micro-Reminders, Spira schedules local notifications directly on your iOS device at the times you select. These notifications are managed entirely by your device's operating system and do not use external push notification tracking servers.

4. Analytics & Third-Party Tracking

Spira contains no third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral trackers, or cross-app tracking technologies.

5. Your Control & Data Deletion

Because all app data is stored locally on your device, you have complete ownership and control over it at all times. Uninstalling the Spira application from your device permanently deletes all locally stored preferences, custom rhythms, and session logs. You can also manage or revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in your iPhone’s Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to the app or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
